Bumble ‘Compliments’ feature lets you message someone you haven’t matched with yet
Bumble Compliments
Compliments on Bumble can be specific as you can choose which part of the profile you’d want to comment on. So you can decide to compliment someone’s bio, photo or one of their profile prompts. The feature is similar to Hinge where you can drop a comment on someone’s photo or prompts. Also, the highlight of this feature is that you can send compliments before matching with the person. So the right compliment might just get the other person to match with you.
How to send compliments on Bumble
You can start sending compliments on Bumble right away, and these are the steps you need to follow:
- First, open Bumble and select the profile of someone you want to match with.
- Look out for the yellow icon with a heart inside a speech bubble.
- Click on this icon to open a text box where you can write your comment or compliment.
- Bumble has kept a 150 character limit so make sure to keep it smart and concise.
Bumble also has a dedicated blog with tips to help you get started with compliments. This might just be your only shot so if you’re confused on how to go about it then you can refer to the blog. Bumble has also partnered with Barbie for its compliments feature. Bumble will start showing profiles of Barbies and Kens in your swipe queue that you can match with. These profiles will come with tips on “why kindness is cool”, and it will also feature some of their favourite Bumble Compliments.
