Breeze to Add 22 Routes in 2023

Low-cost carrier Breeze Airways in 2023 will add nearly two dozen new or resumed routes to its U.S. network, the carrier announced Wednesday. 

Among the additional services are 1 new or resumed nonstop routes:

  • Between Cincinnati and each Providence, R.I., and Orange County, Calif.-based John Wayne Airport, with service on each route beginning March 30
  • Between Columbus, Ohio and each Providence and Orange County, each beginning March 29, and between Columbus and each Hartford, Conn., Jacksonville, Fla., Norfolk, Va., and Raleigh-Durham, N.C., each starting May 18 or May 19
  • Between Jacksonville and each Norfolk, Raleigh-Durham and Richmond, Va., each starting May 18
  • Between Los Angeles International Airport and Providence, starting May 17, and Norfolk, starting May 19
  • Between Pittsburgh and Orange County, starting March 31, and between Pittsburgh and Norfolk, starting May 18

Additionally, Breeze plans to launch one-stop service on seven routes:

  • Between Jacksonville and Providence, staring May 18, and each Hartford and Islip, N.Y., starting May 19
  • Between Tampa, Fla., and Providence, starting May 17; San Francisco, starting May 24; and Islip, starting Aug. 18
  • Between Orange County and Providence, starting March 29

The new routes will be served by Breeze’s Embraer 190 and 195 aircraft or its Airbus A220-300 aircraft, according to the carrier.

[Editor’s note, Dec. 7] A previous version of this report included plans for Breeze to start service between Raleigh-Durham and Richmond, but a Breeze spokesperson confirmed to BTN that the route was included in Breeze’s announcement in error and no such service is planned.
