Apple sends out invites for WWDC 2023 keynote: What to expect – Times of India
The keynote is scheduled to begin at 10 am PDT / 1 pm EDT on June 5 and will also be available for live streaming for anyone to watch from home.
The WWDC keynote usually includes announcements about new software updates for iPhone‘s iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and more. This year, there are rumours that Apple might unveil its long-awaited augmented reality headset. This device would be the company’s first major venture into the world of “mixed reality,” which refers to both AR and VR technologies.
Apart from its rumoured headset, named “Reality Pro,” as well as its software known as “xrOS” and developer tools.
Rumours are rife that Apple could also debut a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and there could also be other models as well.
Later that same day, at 1:30 pm PDT or 4:30 pm Eastern Time, the Platforms State of the Union will take place. It will offer developers a closer look at tools and technology advances and will be accessible through the Apple Developer app and Developer website.
The Apple Design Awards will happen at 6:30 pm PDT or 9:30 pm Eastern Time, and the winners will be announced via the Apple Developer app and website.
Throughout the week, developers can watch 175 in-depth session videos on the app and Developer website from June 6 to June 9 to learn how to create new apps and games. Apple engineers and designers will also be available on Slack to host activities, engage in technical discussions, connect with other developers, and answer any questions from June 7 to June 11.
