Apple is reportedly working on multi-device syncing for Apple Watch

You may get to sync your Apple Watch with more than one device at a time. Turns out Apple is working on a software implementation that will strap Apple Watch users to pair their Apple Watch with multiple Apple devices which includes iPhones, Macs, and iPads.

The information was relayed by leakster @analyst91 who pointed out Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro series last year before it made its debut. With the said update, Apple Watch users will be able to access information and more on other devices in the Apple ecosystem.

Apple Watch Multi-Device Syncing Feature In The Works

One of the assumptions are, Apple Watch, once paired with an iPhone, can be paired with an iPad using Apple ID to get access to Apple Fitness+ workout routines on a big screen. Alternatively, they can use Apple Watch with Mac to unlock the PC, view passwords, authenticate apps and make Apple Pay transactions among others.

At the moment, we don’t have a list of things you can do to sync your Apple Watch with other Apple devices, however, above were some features that are highlighted by many experts. Once the feature rolls out (if it does), Apple Watch will be able to sync all the data with paired devices using a specific Apple ID.

For the unversed, although you can pair multiple Apple Watch units to a single iPhone, you cannot do the vice versa let alone pairing with other Apple devices. With the said multi-device syncing feature in the works, you should be able to get most of your Apple Watch and other Apple devices. As said above, it includes Macs and iPads apart from the obvious iPhones.

Although the feature is reportedly in the works, it remains to be when it actually makes its debut. It is a software update highlighting to be a part of iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, and iOS 17 all making their official debut later this year. Apple has announced WWDC 2023 on June 5 where it will announce a tonne of updates and products and we could potentially see the multi-device pairing as part of the announcements.
