Apple CEO Tim Cook on why he starts his day really early in the morning – Times of India
It’s not a secret that Apple CEO Tim Cook is an early riser as he has mentioned it a few interviews. Now, Cook has explained why he starts his day so early. In an interview with Australian Financial Review, Cook revealed, “ I do that because I can control the morning better than the evening and through the day. Things happen through the day that kind of blow you off course. The morning is yours. Or should I say, the early morning is yours.”
Cook further revealed that he often uses that time to read hundreds of customer emails that he gets. He admitted that he cannot read all of them but “I read an extraordinary number of them. It keeps my hands on the pulse of what customers are feeling and thinking and doing.”
Once he’s read then he forwards them to the respective teams he thinks need that particular customer feedback. He also said that the emails related to Apple Watch where customers tell how the device saved their life “really mean something.” to Apple. Cook also said that Apple has always wanted to create products that “enrich people’s lives, and there’s no better example of that than saving someone’s.”
In an earlier interview, the Apple CEO had said that once he’s done reading the emails, he goes to the gym “and work out for an hour because it keeps my stress at bay”.
Apple and Cook are gearing up for the next big event in September. It is expected that Apple will launch four new iPhones alongside the Apple Watch and a couple of iPad models. No launch date has been announced but the 2021 iPhones are expected to be unveiled sometime in second week of September.
