Android: WhatsApp starts rolling new layout for Android beta users – Times of India
The newly redesigned interface gives users the convenience of accessing navigation options like Communities, Chats, Status, and Calls. This means WhatsApp will be more convenient for users to operate with just one hand.
What has changed
WhatsApp users will now have to individually tap on the Communities, Chats, Status, and Calls options in order to access them. While the rest of the interface remains unchanged and is the same as the older version of WhatsApp.
The new user interface is reportedly cleaner and may allow users access chats and other tabs on the main window easily. The new look is visible in the latest version of WhatsApp for Android beta. Therefore, WhatsApp users running the latest version of Android beta are able to experience the new layout. The new layout is expected to roll out to more users once the update runs smoothly in the beta testing. WhatsApp is yet to confirm the release date of this upcoming feature.
However, there haven’t been many changes as only the main WhatsApp window has been revamped. With this, it will become easier for users to access any of the above-mentioned tabs. Users will no longer have to reach to the top of the screen as all these features will be available at the bottom of the screen with the new layout.
