The EV maker is considering the launch of multiple electrified products, with the first one, the Ampere Magnus EX electric scooter already on sale on Flipkart. The scooter offers a range of about 80km to 100km and is available in five attractive colour options.
Ampere Vehicles to sell its electric scooters via Flipkart
Ampere Vehicles earlier announced their new tie-up with Flipkart, which would enable the EV maker to sell its e-scooters via the e-commerce giant’s platform. The Greaves Electric Mobility electric sub-division, Ampere Vehicles, has started selling the Ampere Magnus EV electric scooter on Flipkart now. Other Ampere products are expected to go on sale later.
The company will initially offer this new service in select cities of Bangalore, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Pune. After an order is placed, the nearest Ampere dealership will get in touch with the buyer and will take on further processes pertaining to vehicle insurance, RTO registration, and additional delivery details. State-wise subsidies and benefits for owning an electric vehicle will also be extended to the customers.
Ampere claims to deliver the vehicle within 15 days of purchase on Flipkart.
“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Flipkart and expand the distribution of Ampere Electric scooters range to wider pockets of consumers,” CEO and Executive Director at Greaves Electric Mobility, Sanjay Behl, said in a statement. He also added, “With Flipkart’s reach and the integrated and holistic service by our local authorized dealerships, the initiative will go a long way in reaching across India for electric two-wheelers. At Greaves, we are constantly endeavouring to bring a clean, green, best-in-segment, last-mile mobility experience to users.”
Ampere Magnus EX price in India, specifications
The Ampere Magnus EX gets around 100km of ARAI certified range and also comes equipped with a removable/swappable battery. The vehicle also claims to do the 0-40kmph sprint in under 10 seconds and goes onto a top speed of 50kmph.
The 38.25Ah Advanced Lithium Battery takes about 6-7 hours to recharge fully. There’s a 3year or 20,000km on the battery pack. The motor generates 1.2kW of peak power.
The scooter is available in Graphite Black, Galactic Grey, and Metallic Red. The vehicle is priced at Rs 77,249 on Flipkart and gets bank offers also.
