“Never played the first Alan Wake (or Alan Wake Remastered)? No need to worry, as players who may have missed out on the first game can easily dive into the sequel without any prior experience or knowledge of the game’s story,” Sony said in a blog post.
The trailer shows a darker tone for the game than its predecessor and also introduces a new character, Saga Anderson, an FBI agent investigating a series of murders in Bright Falls. Anderson’s investigation will lead her to Alan Wake who has been trapped in a dark world for 13 years.

Players opting for pre-orders will get an Ornate Revolver Skin for Alan and a Survival Resources Pack for Saga. However, the deluxe edition will also include, an expansion pass, nordic shotgun skin for saga, parliament shotgun skin for Alan, crimson windbreaker for Saga, celebrity suit for Alan and lantern charm for Saga
