Tell us something about your background…

I belong to a middle-class family, and have been born and raised in Pune. My family did not want me to become an actor. After a lot of fights, my family gave me a choice to either follow my dream or live with them. So, I chose my dream and started living alone in the same city.

Did you face any struggles?

Struggle is a part and parcel of life. You face it in every field. I’ve faced a lot for the last seven years and am still facing it. I’ve failed 132 auditions till date, but every failure has taught me something. Never lose hope and continue with the journey.

Talking about your film The Rage, what character do you play in it?

I’m playing the role of a self-made businessman in Dubai, who is the support system and backbone of his elder sister, Roshni, in the film. I had a wonderful time playing this character.

Who is your inspiration in Bollywood and why?

Shah Rukh Khan sir. His expression, performance and choice of roles; no one can do it better than the way he does it. So, if you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything.

What is the best thing about the entertainment industry?

The best thing about our industry is that it is a never-ending journey.

What kind of roles are you looking out for?

I’m looking forward to playing the kind of roles where I can get a chance to live a new character every single day.

How has been the experience of shooting the film in Goa?

It was great. South Goa is an amazing place to visit.

Do you think a mentor is needed to survive in the entertainment industry?

Absolutely. Just having talent won’t help you if you don’t know how to sell it. A mentor helps you shape your talent.

How are you holding up amid the difficult pandemic scenario?

I’ve been spending time at home taking live interviews of celebrities on Instagram, learning how to cook, and working on my craft as well as reading.
