Activision hack reveals 2023 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2 content schedule | 91mobiles.com
Also worth noting that the Threat Actor(s) did attempt to phish other employees. Other employees did not fall for the phish. However, it appears they did not report the security incident to the Activision Information Security Team pic.twitter.com/24HDC9TNQK

According to information acquired by vx-underground, Activision has planned multiple seasons worth of content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 that will be available through November 2023. In the third, fourth, and sixth season, the games will get two new Operators including a crossover character that could be a celebrity or a popular character from another IP. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 will also get three new weapons in these seasons. Besides these, both games will get a bunch of new maps, game modes, events, and cosmetic bundles in each season. The breach has also revealed an internal project that is under development, called Jupiter. This project will be going into alpha in May and June, and there are no other details regarding what this project could be.
It seems one of the Activision employees fell victim to a phishing scam, which allowed the hacker to access the company’s Slack channel. Using Slack access, the hacker was apparently able to gather sensitive information about future Call of Duty plans. It’s unclear whether project Jupiter is another COD title. Activision has confirmed a full premium Call of Duty release this year as well. Previous reports had suggested that the company would be skipping an annual premium COD release in 2023.
