Zendaya, Tom Holland ‘spotted’ holding hands in pic from Kerala’s Munnar; fans ask ‘is this for real?’

On Friday, Zendaya and Tom Holland arrived in India on their maiden trip together to the country. The Hollywood couple were rumoured to be in Mumbai for Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s opening. However, they were not spotted at the star-studded gala that was attended by Bollywood royalty including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra as well as international celebs such as Gigi Hadid and Nick Jonas. Now, a photo of Zendaya and Tom is doing the rounds on social media, and reactions are pouring in from fans. On April 1, the official Instagram account of Kerala Tourism shared a photo of Zendaya and Tom with the caption, “Guess who we spotted far away from home?” The caption had the hashtags ‘faraway home’, ‘Munnar’ and ‘Kerala tourism’. In no time, the comments section of the post was flooded with fans, who had been waiting for an update on Zendaya and Tom Holland’s India visit.

While some joked about the ‘epic’ photo, others found the April Fool’s prank one of the best. Some also said the Tom and Zendaya’s edited photo, which was originally taken in Boston last year, looked ‘real’. While Zendaya wore an oversized green turtleneck sweater with grey pants and white sneakers, Tom was seen in a grey shirt, black trousers, and matching sneakers.

A person commented on Kerala Tourism’s post, “Hater will say it’s Photoshopped! As a designer, I stand by it it’s real.” One more person fell for the edited photo, and commented, “It’s totally real. They were spotted at the Mumbai airport, and who knew they were en route to God’s own country.” One more asked, “Is this for real?” However, many joked about the quality of editing. One wrote, “White balance is not matched… try to improve.” One more wrote, “Good April Fool’s prank.”

Zendaya and Tom were pictured in Mumbai on Friday. The Spider-Man: No Way Home stars were photographed exiting the Mumbai airport. Zendaya was all smiles as she walked out of the airport gate, while Tom was surrounded by his entourage. The two have been dating for a few years now.
