Zebra Technologies expands its Research and Development footprint in India – Times of India

Zebra Technologies Corporation has announced its plans to open a new Research and Development (R&D) centre at Bagmane Solarium City in Bangalore, which is set to be Zebra’s largest in Asia Pacific (APAC).
Zebra’s new R&D centre will combine two of its existing research facilities in Bangalore under one roof. The new facility, which is expected to be finished in the second half of 2023, has plans to house about 1,500 workers and will reportedly concentrate on R&D of solutions for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and price optimisation using antuit.ai and Zebra’s device software portfolio. This new R&D facility in Bangalore will complement the facility in Pune, which focuses on Reflexis workforce management and task management solutions.

In 2021, Zebra expanded its APAC headquarters in Singapore to incorporate facilities such as a print R&D centre, a new Global Enablement Centre, and the largest Zebra Experience Centre in APAC. These facilities claim to offer various resources for Zebra’s customers, partners, and key stakeholders in the region – including India – and to educate them on Zebra’s technology.
Speaking of the new R&D facility, Rajnish Gupta, Vice President & Head for India and Subcontinent business, Zebra Technologies, said, “Given the need to adapt to changes and disruptions more effectively, enterprises recognise the need for advanced solutions that can be achieved through constant R&D to help them address complex supply chain challenges and volatile marketplaces.”
