When it comes to deals, Virgin Media definitely saved the best until last. While the full-fibre company pretty comprehensively slashed prices across its broadband range earlier this month, it saved one of the best deals for the last days of its blockbuster Black Friday sale – giving away a 43-inch LG Smart TV worth over £350 to those who upgrade to its telly bundles. The deal, which started on Black Friday itself (November 26) but runs until November 29, 2021, is available to anyone who signs up to the Bigger Bundle + Movies, Bigger Bundle + Sports, Bigger Bundle + Sports and Movies, or the Ultimate Volt Bundle. All of these packages arrive with the latest Virgin Media TV 360 set-top box, dozens of paid-for channels, and speedy internet to stream from Netflix, Prime Video and more.

The free 43-inch television is from LG and boasts all of the trimmings you’d want with a modern Smart TV. That means it supports up to 4K Ultra HD picture quality – perfect as Virgin Media’s TV 360 box is also capable of streaming movies and boxsets in that ultra-crisp format too. The LG-designed telly would usually set you back £369. If Virgin Media runs out of stock due to unprecedented demand for the offer, it has pledged to send out “products of equivalent value”. In other words – you’re still going to get a free television.

If you’re perfectly happy with your current telly, you can ditch the free 43-inch Smart TV in favour of £250 credit towards your bills. This will be applied each month until it’s used. And then you’ll need to start paying from your current account again.

The most affordable bundle that qualifies for the free Smart TV offer is Bigger Bundle + Movies. This costs £59 a month and includes M350 fibre broadband, which boasts speeds up to 362Mbps – around 5x faster than the average home broadband speed in the UK, with unlimited usage. You’ll never need to worry about extra charges for the amount of video you’ve streamed from Netflix, photos you’ve backed up to the cloud, and more.

You’ll also get Virgin Media TV 360 with access to more than 200 channels, including the likes of Sky Comedy, Comedy Central Extra, Sky Crime, Sky Witness, Sky Showcase, TLC, MTV, CBS Reality, Paramount Network, and more. As the name suggests, the Bigger Bundle + Movies also arrives with all Sky Cinema HD movies too. You’ll also get free unlimited weekend calls to UK landlines and Virgin Mobile numbers.

The priciest package included in this deal is the Ultimate Volt Bundle, which usually costs £99 a month, but has been dropped down to £89 as part of the Black Friday sales. It includes all of the telly channels above, plus BT Sport in 4K Ultra HD and all Sky TV channels and Sky Cinema in HD. You’ll get unlimited free calls to UK landlines, mobiles and 0845/0870 numbers at any time. There’s also an O2 SIM card with unlimited data, calls and texts – and support for 5G. This SIM-only deal includes support for roam in 75 destinations, with O2 Travel Inclusive Zone. It also comes with O2 Priority, which offers free coffee, cinema ticket and meal deal discounts each week.

In terms of broadband, you’ll get the fastest download speeds available from Virgin Media. That means you’ll have 1,130Mbps average download speeds at your fingertips. That’s around 16x faster than the average home broadband speed and means you’ll never see a buffering icon.

Virgin Media usually charges around £62 alone for its Gig1 fibre broadband …so paying an extra £27 for every Sky TV channel, Sky Cinema, BT Sport, the 4K-capable Virgin Media TV 360 with the ability to pause and rewind live television, and an unlimited-everything O2 SIM-only deal is an incredible deal. And then there’s the free LG Smart TV. Woah.
