Madhur Sethi has worked as series and talent producer for many singing reality shows on Indian television. With Covid rose the uncertainties in Mumbai and further a family problem drove this talented guy back to Chandigarh. He spun the tide in his favour by launching his own music label, Minash Entertainment, and has already given two Punjabi songs, Tu Bombay Di ft. Twinkle and Hanji Hanji ft. Upma, which garnered much applause from the audiences.
A pass-out from Kurukshetra University with an engineering degree, this resident of Zirakpur did his schooling from CLDAV School, Panchkula. So, does the region provide exposure and resources to artistes? “It depends on how passionate you are. When you are determined to follow some path, city, resources or money are the least of your concerns.”
One challenge that he faced after shifting base from Mumbai to Zirakpur is that many people here were not as professional as those in Mumbai. “One has to look really hard for the right people. For me, it was great working with Upma and Twinkle. Both are extremely talented and really professional,” he adds.
The singer now wants to bring back Indian pop songs culture of the 90s. — TNS
