Yeh Meri Family season 2 release date announced: cast, trailer, plot and everything we know so far

TVF’s Yeh Meri Family was a hit with its 90s nostalgia that viewers loved. After the first season released in 2018, TVF is back with another season of Yeh Meri Family. This time too the story will focus on a middle-class family with the 90s theme but with a different cast. 

Yeh Meri Family season 2 release date, where to watch online

The second season of Yeh Meri Family is scheduled to release on May 19th, and it will be available to stream on Amazon miniTV. For those unaware, Amazon miniTV is free and available on the Amazon app. There’s no Prime subscription required to watch shows on Amazon miniTV. 

Yeh Meri Family season 2 cast

Since Yeh Meri Family season 2 focuses on a different plot it has a different cast portraying a family of four. Juhi Parmar plays the role of Neerja Awasthi who is described as “an amalgamation of a strict yet overly caring mother whose world revolves around her children and family.” This is also her OTT debut. Rajesh Kumar takes the role of “the easy breezy father who happily drives around his two-wheeler and always returns home with treats for his kids”, Sanjay Awasthi. There are two kids, Ritika a 15-year-old who is played by Hetal Gada, and Rishi, the younger brother played by Angaad. 

Yeh Meri Family season 2 plot 

The second season of Yeh Meri Family revolves around a middle-class family of four. It is set in the winters of 1994 and it shows typical family banter among the four of them. The trailer gives a glimpse of what to expect from the show. It involves Neerja and Sanjay, the parents navigating their kids’ lives. Ritika who is a teenager struggles with her studies while Rishi, her younger brother, is a mischievous kid. As explained above, Neerja and Sanjay portray opposite characters where one is the strict parent and the other is the cool one. 

The first season of Yeh Meri Family was a big hit with people wanting more from the series. Now the show is finally back after five years so there’s a lot riding on the second season and what it has to offer.
