xiaomi: Xiaomi MIUI 13 said to launch on December 16, these smartphones may get the update – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Xiaomi launched the MIUI 12 in April last year. After more than a year, the company is now gearing up to bring the latest version of its operating system. The Chinese smartphone maker is presently working on MIUI 13. Now, a new report has surfaced online revealing the list of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones that may get the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update.
The report also suggests that Xiaomi will directly release the stable version to users.
According to a report by Xiaomiui, the smartphone is said to release the beta version of MIUI on November 27, while the stable version is expected to launch via a special event on December 16. The report also claims that the latest version of the UI will be a major upgrade as compared to the MIUI 12.5. The new UI may also bring some major improvements and UI changes. The report further adds that many of the devices will also be getting the Android 11-based MIUI 13 update.

As mentioned above, MIUI 13 is expected to come with major improvements. It may introduce features like iOS-like widgets, smart toolbox, front camera assistant and MIUI Pure Mode. The operating system may also add features like memory extension, new MIUI+ features, and more. It is also rumoured that there could also be a customized version of MIUI 13 for Redmi devices.

– Xiaomi 11T series
– Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
– Xiaomi Civi
– Xiaomi Mix 4
– Xiaomi Mix Fold

Meanwhile, the upcoming Xiaomi 12 will be the company’s first major flagship product after it dropped the Mi branding. The smartphone is said to come with a Samsung ISOCELL GN5 50MP primary sensor. For comparison, Mi 11 had a 108Mp camera on the rear. Additionally, the handset is expected to come with a 100-watt fast charging feature as well.
