Xiaomi TV Stick 4K launched with higher RAM and Dolby Vision support – Times of India
Xiaomi has launched the successor to its Mi TV Stick. The company has announced Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. Listed on the company’s global website, the new model offers 4K streaming and comes with support for Dolby Vision technology. It runs on Android TV 11 out-of-the-box.
Xiaomi has not revealed pricing and availability of the new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K. It is simply listed on the company’s global website with its features. But, the new model is expected to cost more than the Mi TV Stick which was launched in India at Rs 2,799 in 2020.
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K specifications
Xiaomi TV Stick 4K comes with the same storage capacity as its predecessor. It offers 8GB storage paired with 2GB RAM. Mi TV Stick has 1GB RAM only.
The new model is powered by Android TV 11 with four cores of Cortex-A35 and Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. It comes pre-installed with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube. The mode comes with support for both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
For wireless connectivity, Xiaomi TV Stick 4K offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.0. It is also equipped with an HDMI port for connecting with a TV and a Micro-USB for power.
The streaming device comes with a remote that has dedicated hotkeys for Amazon Prime Video and Netflix along with a dedicated button to activate Google Assistant.
