Xiaomi to launch fewer Redmi Note models in India, improve MIUI experience
The company explains that it is rebooting what its Note lineup stands for by correcting missteps. Although Redmi won’t be releasing as many Note phones as before, the company promises that each Note smartphone released in the future will be “standing tall in its segment.” It’s a smart move, but it might excite some and puzzle others: there will be fewer Note series phones after all.
Xiaomi previously released at least 6 models each in its Redmi Note 10 and Note 11 series. We might not see 6 models in the Redmi Note 12 series, based on Anuj Sharma’s note, but you can expect at least three phones to launch in January: Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+.
Further, the note also addresses feedback from the Redmi community about Xiaomi’s MIUI experience. The brand promises to “remove the UI-related monetisation, swapping subsidies for better experience and quality.” Seeing a brand hear its users’ feedback and improve in those areas is always pleasing.
Xiaomi has been among the top-selling brand in India for a while now, and this move could play a crucial role in the growth of the company’s Note series phone. The Note series typically offers some of the most value-for-money devices available in the market. A better UI experience is undoubtedly a critical purchasing decision for interested buyers.
For now, that’s all the brand has revealed about its future plans for the Redmi Note series. It, of course, promises to tell more about the series in the coming days.
