Xbox: Microsoft unveils 1TB Carbon Black variant of Xbox Series S: All the details – Times of India

The Xbox Series S has got an all-new colour variant, which doubles the existing storage capacity. In a blog post, Microsoft said that the Carbon Black colour is the same sleek, modern matte finish as the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Wireless Controller.
The new console features the same next-gen speed and performance of the 512GB Series S variant but doubles the storage. Gamers can now download more of their favourite games to their consoles.
“You’ll make the most of every gaming minute with features like Quick Resume, lightning-fast load times, and gameplay of up to 120 FPS – all powered by Xbox Velocity Architecture,” said Bree Adams, Senior Marketing Manager, Xbox.

Price and availability

The Carbon Black colour variant of the Xbox Series S will launch on September 1. However, those interested can pre-order the console starting today. The 1TB storage variant of the Xbox Series S is priced at $349.99. Microsoft has said that it will add more retailers and regions in the coming weeks.
The Xbox Series was launched in November 2020. It is the smaller and less powerful sibling of the Xbox Series X, but it still offers a significant upgrade over the previous generation of Xbox consoles. The Xbox Series S is powered by a custom AMD Zen 2 CPU and an AMD RDNA 2 GPU. It has 10GB of GDDR6 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD.
