WWDC 2022: Apple may not unveil its headset at WWDC 2022, claims analyst – Times of India

0
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2022 (WWDC 2022) is fast approaching and new rumours and claims about the products that could be unveiled at the event have begun appearing in the online world. Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is a reliable name when it comes to predictions about upcoming launches and he has made another one. The latest claim is regarding the Apple VR/VR headset. According to Kuo, Apple may not be ready to reveal its first-ever headset at WWDC 2022 as the mass production of the device could take longer. He feels the same way about the new ‘realityOS’ platform by the tech giant.
He also added that delaying the reveal of the headset could work in favour of Apple as the company won’t give any chance to its competitors to copy any design or tech element of the headset for their own upcoming products.

Hence when Apple does decide to show the product for the first time, it would have the necessary bulk of devices ready to be shipped and that would buy the tech giant enough time to get a stronghold in the market if the product caters to the interests of the masses.
As for when the headset could launch, Kuo has said that the headset could arrive in the markets in early 2023 and not this year. Analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities has also made a quite similar claim earlier and predicted that the Apple headset could arrive in Q1 2023. There is still about a week to go before WWDC 2022 kicks off, so we don’t have to wait for too long for the new product unveilings now.
