Windows users to get this new WhatsApp stickers feature soon – Times of India
WhatsApp has reportedly started to roll out a new tab for Windows users. As per a report by WABetaInfo, the Facebook owned platform has started to roll out a new update for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app. The report reveals that WhatsApp has added a new sticker tab for Windows users with the update.
According to the screenshot shared in the report, the new sticker tab can be spotted inside the emoji panel. The tab will be quite similar to the one seen in WhatsApp app for Android and iOS smartphones. It will allow users to save the stickers that they have sent or received on WhatsApp. The feature will be quite useful for Windows users as the UWP app does not allow users to add third-party stickers.
It is worth noting that the sticker tab will also allow users to save customised stickers that can be used again. For those who are unaware, WhatsApp UWP app allows users to create their own stickers from the images in the gallery. The feature enables users to quickly create a sticker from an image within the platform without using any third party apps. The platform also offers a bunch of editing tools such as Outline, Emoji, Sticker, Text, Paint and Crop & Rotate and further allows users to modify the image.
Although WhatsApp UWP app is getting the sticker tab section, the stickers saved in your smartphone app won’t appear here. The report suggests that WhatsApp is working on the ability to sync stickers between your devices in a future update. As of now, WhatsApp has not revealed when the new tab will be available in a stable update but it is expected that it will be available for all UWP app users soon.
