WhatsApp now lets users send up to 100 photos and videos – Times of India
It is a new day, and a new feature has come to WhatsApp, a few of them to be precise. In the latest update, WhatsApp has increased the limit of maximum photos and videos a user can send at once while adding some nifty new features.
In the WhatsApp for Android version 2.22.24.73, users can now send up to 100 photos and videos at once. Earlier, WhatsApp had a limit of up to 30 photos and videos. But now you can send as many as 100 photos, videos, or both photos and videos.
Another new nifty feature to be added is captions for documents. Now, with WhatsApp for Android version 2.22.24.73, users can add captions while sending documents on personal and group chats. Before, users could only write captions for photos and videos.
Longer WhatsApp group subjects and description
The changelog of WhatsApp for Android version 2.22.24.73 mentions that the app now supports longer group subjects and descriptions to describe your group better. There is no mention of how many character limits there are. However, earlier, the character limit for the group subjects was 25 characters, and 512 characters for descriptions. So, we expect the new limit to be more than this.
Kept Messages, transcripts, and more coming soon to WhatsApp
None of these features seems to be included in WhatsApp for iOS. Also, it is not known when these features will come to the iOS app of WhatsApp.
Last year, WhatsApp increased the file limit to 2GB, up from the earlier limit of 100MB with end-to-end encryption. However, the feature has not been available in WhatsApp for iOS. But that may change soon as WhatsApp seems to be working on increasing the limit to 2GB for iOS, notes WABetaInfo.
WhatsApp is also testing a new feature – “Kept Messages” with a selected group of beta testers on WhatsApp for Business. The feature will let users keep the messages if they have Disappearing messages turned on. Further, WhatsApp is also testing transcripts on iOS.
