Another previous update announced a new style for toggles that follows the guidelines of Material Design 3. This shows that the company is redesigning the app as per the Material Design 3 guidelines.
WhatsApp Channels now available in India
WhatsApp’s Channels feature is now live in India. This new feature is a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers and polls. The company is also building a searchable directory for users to find channels based on their hobbies, sports teams, updates from local officials and more. This directory will help users to search for the channels they would like to follow. To join a particular WhatsApp Channel, users have to click the invite links sent in chats, e-mails, or posted online.
