Western Digital has launched a new solid state drive (SSD) specially designed to cater the needs of PC gamers. The company has expanded its gaming SSD portfolio with the launch of WD Black SN770 NVMe SSD.
The SSD claims to offer around 40% faster performance and up to 20% more power efficiency over the previous generation SSDs.
The WD Black SN770 NVMe SSD features a PCIe Gen 4 interface that claims to deliver speeds of up to 5,150MB/s in 1TB and 2TB models. The SSD drive is also backward compatible with Gen 3 systems.
