NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans leg-spinner Rashid Khan has a knack of picking wickets every time he comes onto bowl and on Friday night he got rid of dangerous Mumbai Indians opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan in the same over during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The opening duo were going great guns as they added 61 runs after the six overs of Powerplay but Rashid had some different plans in his mind. After giving 7 runs in his first over, Rashid first dismissed Rohit on the first ball and then sent back Ishan on the penultimate delivery of the seventh over of the MI innings.

Rashid came up with a leg-break and it straightened with the angle which drew Rohit forward for a defensive shot but found the edge and Rahul Tewatia took a sharp catch at slip moving swiftly across to his left. Rohit played a good 18-ball 29 runs knock with the help of three fours and two sixes.
Oozing with confidence, Rashid unleashed a fullish delivery to Ishan who got trapped plumb while attempting a sweep as the ball struck right on the back-thigh in front of middle. Ishan scored a quickfire 31 off 20 balls which included four boundaries and a lone six.

Soon Rashid picked up his third wicket and this time he knocked over in-form Nehal Wadhera (15 off 7 balls). The Afghan magician did what he is best known for and he not only took wickets but also put some breaks on MI’s run charge.
