The Nothing Phone (1) has caught some attention, considering it’s just a mid-range smartphone from a rather new company. The hype surrounding the transparent back and the Glyph LED lighting system at the back have made consistent headlines.

A teardown video of the Nothing Phone (1) by the YouTube channel PBK Reviews has come up which disassembles the phone. The YouTuber uses established techniques of applying heat and using suction and pick to dismantle the back glass panel. After that, the YouTuber removes decorative back plates and Glyph LED lights onto the components. 

The YouTuber also reassembles the device back to its original working condition. The video, in the end, rates the device a 3 out of 10 for ease of repairability. This means the Nothing Phone (1) is not easy to repair. The score considers ease of finding replacement parts, ease of replacing the screen, and ease of replacements of battery, among other criteria.

The Nothing Phone (1) gets a 6.55-inch 10-bit OLED panel that supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset and an Adreno 642L GPU. The processing power is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. 

The Nothing Phone (1) gets a 50MP dual camera set up at the back and a 16MP front shooter. The Nothing Phone (1) draws juice from a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and 15W Qi wireless charging. The device also gets support for Wi-Fi 6 and 802.11 a/b/g/, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 5G, an in-display fingerprint reader, and facial recognition. It gets dual stereo speakers and is IP53 rating.
