Watch: How MS Dhoni’s tip shaped Shivam Dube’s career | Cricket News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Talismanic MS Dhoni has joined the likes of yesteryear greats Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar who would inspire a generation of rising cricketers with their experiences and pep talks.

Now the baton is with the former Indian skipper as the current crop of cricketers look forward to have a chat with Dhoni, seeking his valuable tips as and when they get a chance and also get benefitted after inculcating those tips in their armoury.
‘Play till the end and try to finish the game’ was Dhoni’s one of many tips to rising Indian star Shivam Dube, which not only shaped up his career but also changed his approach towards the game.

‘Learning from the Great: The MS Dhoni advice that’s helping him win matches for his team,” read the caption of Dube’s interview posted by BCCI on Twitter.

Earlier on Sunday, all-rounder Dube showcased his exceptional batting skills to guide West Zone to a convincing six-wicket victory over North Zone in a round-robin match of the Deodhar Trophy in Puducherry.

Dube, who represents Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), exhibited his dynamic left-handed batting prowess during the match. He was in remarkable form, unleashing a barrage of sixes by clearing the boundary five times. Additionally, he hit three fours on his way to an unbeaten 83 runs off just 78 balls.
