Watch: Here’s how iPhone 14 Pro’s always-on mode may look like – Times of India

The always-on display mode on the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro is eagerly awaited namong Apple enthusiasts. And a few references to the upcoming mode have been found in iOS 16 wallpapers, claims 9To5Mac.
As per 9To5Mac, the new iOS 16 wallpapers are not static images but instead, are “multi-layered vectors rendered in real time”, says the report.
“Now, in addition to the regular vectors, the native wallpapers (such as the default one and the recently added clown fish wallpaper) also have a new state labeled “Sleep,” which has very dark and faded elements. Wallpapers in this state are quite similar to the Apple Watch faces with always-on enabled. Once the user turns off the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro, the wallpaper will switch to the “Sleep” version.”, adds the report

The always-on mode is supposed to keep some part of the screen alive when the phone is not being used while consuming minimal battery. Parts of the display area that show general information like the clock and also widgets stay on when the phone is inactive.
Earlier, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had predicted that the always-on mode would roll out for iOS 16. The upcoming iPhones are expected to get a new variable refresh rate display of about 1Hz per second. A low refresh rate should help with consuming lesser battery and as such, the always on mode could prove a good fit for the iPhone 14 Pro.
We can expect four new iPhone models this year. However, the Pro models–the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max– are the only ones getting the new chipset. They will also be the ones getting the new pill-shaped cutout display instead of a notched one. When it comes to the front camera, the Pro iPhone models are also speculated to come with a new larger aperture f/1.9 lens and autofocus.
