Pabrai on Thursday tweeted a snapshot of the letter, which seemed to be sent by ace investor Warren Buffett, praising him for his efforts that were “far more impressive than what business titans, investment gurus and famous politicians ever accomplish.”
In July 2007, Pabrai and his best friend Guy Spier, a Zurich-based hedge fund manager, won a charity auction for a ‘power lunch’ with Buffett. For the two disciples, their $650,100 bid for the lunch was nothing but a ‘Guru Dakshina’.
“I am glad my annual report does not compare to the Dakshana annual report,” the Buffett letter, which had Berkshire Hathaway address added to it, read.
“It’s an honour ever to be quoted in it,” Buffett suggested.

Dakshna’s web portal says it’s mission is to deliver world-class education opportunities for exceptionally gifted children from improvised poor background in India. The portal claims to have invested Rs 130 crore in quality education.
