Wait, What? These New Sneakers Will Let You Walk On Beer, Literally

There is no dearth of bizarre fashion statements all over the internet. We have often seen plenty of interesting and unique outfits grabbing eyeballs online. Last year, a French designer created a bag in the shape of a leaf that intrigued the internet. In January, we saw sneakers in the shape of sandwiches had gone viral. And now, yet another new pair of sneakers has created waves on the internet. Beer brand Heineken has launched a new pair of sneakers called ‘Heinekicks’ which have beer filled inside them! Beer brand Heineken has tied up with shoe designer Dominic Ciambrone to launch the customised sneaker collection. Believe it or not, the limited-edition sneakers come with beer injected into the sole of the sneakers that is visible, thanks to it being transparent. The trademark green and red colours have been used in the design. In fact, the top of the sneaker actually has an in-built bottle opener for you to pop open your beer cans! How cool, right? “Designed in collaboration with noted shoe designer, Dominic Ciambrone, to celebrate the smoothness of Heineken Silver. Heinekicks aren’t your everyday shoe, but it’s not every day you get to walk on beer,” read the official tweet by Heineken.

Twitter users loved the idea of beer-filled sneakers. The bizarre fashion statement by Heineken garnered many reactions on the micro-blogging platform. “I’ll get a pair just to have it,” wrote one user while another said, “10/10 would wear!”

This is not the only bizarre fashion item to have gone viral in the past. Luxury fashion house Prada had earlier launched a yellow sweater with holes that reminded Twitter of swiss cheese.
