Voot Select users getting free JioCinema Premium subscription via coupon codes, claims user

JioCinema is merging with Voot to become a unified streaming service. The merger will see Voot phase out and integrate with JioCinema. There’s no word on when the merger will finalise but it looks like Voot Select users are already being informed about the change and even getting promo codes for free JioCinema Premium membership.

The JioCinema-Voot merger will see Voot phase out, and all its shows and movies will be available on JioCinema. Voot is now offering Voot Select users a promo code for the JioCinema Premium membership while confirming that the merger is actually happening. For those unaware, JioCinema Premium was launched recently and it offers Hollywood content at Rs 999 per year.

This was first shared by Reddit user @Mr__7, who had contacted Voot’s customer support before continuing subscription on the platform. Voot Support responded saying that they can continue their Voot Select journey on the new JioCinema app. There’s also a promo code that they’re offering to Voot Select subscribers for the JioCinema Premium membership. According to the Redditor, their Voot Select subscription was supposed to end on June 15th but with the promo code they now have a JioCinema Premium membership until August 30th.

Voot Select is still available though, and the Redditor confirmed that they can still access it. But with the JioCinema Premium subscription, it looks like Voot will soon integrate with the former.  

Existing Voot Select users can try getting the promo code by reporting an issue to the JioCinema Help Center, according to reports. Here, they can share their Voot Select login information along with the payment proof to which they should receive a response with a promo code for JioCinema Premium. 

There’s no official date for when the JioCinema-Voot merger will be completed but with things in process it shouldn’t take long. It has also been reported that Viacom18 plans to do it post IPL 2023 which ended on May 29th.

At present, JioCinema is offering popular shows such as The Last of Us, Succession, House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. It also signed a deal with NBCUniversal for shows such as The Office and Parks and Recreation.
