Vivo X90 series with MediaTek chipset, new 1-inch camera launched: Price, features and more – Times of India
The latest X90 series phones come with the latest-generation of hardware and mainly focus on providing “professional-level mobile photography”. The company says that the X90 series phones perform on every level with their advanced camera system and features even in the most challenging scenarios.
The Vivo X90 Pro comes equipped with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP 1-inch camera in partnership with Zeiss and offers a bunch of interesting shooting modes including handheld astro mode, Zeiss-optimised portrait modes, built-in photo filter, ultra-low light photos and videos, etc.
Vivo X90, X90 Pro: Price and availability
Vivo X90 Pro comes with a 12GB+256GB variant that will be available for purchase at Rs 84,999. Vivo X90, on the other hand, will be available at Rs 59,999 (8GB+256GB) and Rs 63,999 (12GB+256GB).
Both smartphones will be available for purchase starting May 5, 2023, on Flipkart, Vivo India e-store and across all partner retail stores. Consumers can pre-book the smartphones starting today and avail up to 10% cashback on SBI, ICICI, HDFC, and IDFC bank cards.
Vivo X90 Pro, X90: Camera features
Vivo X90 Pro comes with Zeiss 1-inch primary sensor along with Industry’s largest IMX989 sensor from Sony. The company claims that the bigger sensor offers around 77% increased photosensitive area and 43% increased light intake capacity that helps it capture bright and detailed images and videos even at night.
The smartphone also features a dedicated 50MP portrait camera with a Sony IMX758 sensor with f1.6 aperture and OIS.
X90 Pro also introduces independent optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology, developed by Vivo. It also supports Active Centering OIS System with CIPA Level 4 standard stabilisation.
Apart from that, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide (IMX663) lens at the back. The phone features a 32MP front camera that also supports a wide range of shooting modes including portrait modes.
The handset comes with a wide range of shooting modes including Zeiss-specific portrait modes, architecture mode, ultra low light photos and videos, panorama and more.
Vivo X90, on the other hand, also comes with improved camera setup from its predecessor. The handset comes with a 50MP VCS True Color main camera with IMX866 sensor, a 12MP portrait camera and a 12MP ultra wide camera. The phone also gets a 32MP front camera.
Vivo X90 Pro, X90: Specifications
Apart from the camera setup at the back, both X90 Pro and X90 come with similar set of specifications. Both the handsets feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display and SCHOTT Xensation α scratch resistant coating.
The display features Ultra Vision Eye Protection, 1.07-billion colours, 100% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and HDR10+ support. In addition, it also has a new Zeiss Natural Colour mode for better natural colours on the display and also supports flicker-free brightness adjustment.
The Vivo X90 is available in two colour options — Asteroid Black and Breezey Blue, While the Vivo X90 Pro is available only in one colour Legendary Black with Vegan leather finish at the back.
Both handsets also share the same dual-chip setup of MediaTek Dimensity 9200 and Vivo’s dedicated V2 imaging chip. The Vivo X90 is available in two variants 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, while the Vivo X90 Pro comes only in 12GB + 256GB variant.
The handsets feature dual-speaker setup and come with a X-axis vibration motor.
Both smartphones run on Funtouch OS13 and come with a 3-year OS update promise. Along with this, the X90 series now comes with an International warranty so consumers can avail maintenance support and service in any part of the world.
