The trend of 100W-plus chargers seems to be here to stay. Not only this, it seems companies may be planning to leave the 150W mark behind. Vivo is reportedly working on a 200W charger. The 200W charger may come with the rumoured iQoo 10 Pro smartphone. There is no exact word on when the iQoo 10 Pro will be launched but notable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that it would come with 200W charging capabilities.
In a recent post on the Chinese social media network Weibo, the notable tipster Digital Chat Station shared that the Vivo is readying a 200W charger. The 200W charging adapter is currently in the production line stage with model number V2001L0B0-CN, where CN might stand for China. The charging adapter provides 20V at 10A with a maximum output of 200W. Meanwhile, it can also provide 20V at 3.5A to wireless chargers translating to 65W. We can also expect the Vivo X90 series to come with the 200W charging adapter in the future.
It is not the first time we have heard about a 200W charger. In the past, Realme has showcased its UltraDart Charging Architecture (UDCA), which delivers speeds between 100W-200W. The company introduced the new architecture with the GT Neo 3, but it limited the charging speed to 150W due to safety concerns. Well, it is still the world’s fastest charging speed. Vivo might soon claim the title.
As for the iQoo 10 Pro, not much is known about the smartphone. Rumours suggest that it could debut by the end of this year; we speculate it to come with top-of-the-line hardware.
