Vivo S16, S16 Pro with 50MP selfie camera and S16e with Exynos chipset launched – Times of India

Vivo has expanded its S-series of smartphones with the launch of Vivo S16, S16 Pro and S16e smartphones in China. The Vivo S16 and S16 Pro comes with an FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphones sport a 50MP selfie camera and 4,600 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Vivo S16e is powered by an Exynos chipset and features a 16MP selfie shooter.
The price of Vivo S16e starts at 2099 yuan (Rs 24,890), whereas the price of Vivo S16 and S16 Pro starts at 2499 yuan (Rs 32,000) and 3299 yuan (Rs 39,120) respectively. All the three smartphones are available for pre-order in China. The Vivo S16 and S16 Pro comes in black, green and gradient colour options, while the Vivo S16e comes in black, green and purple colour variants.

The duo house a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Vivo S16 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset and the S16 packs octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
Vivo S16 Pro comes in two variants — 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. On the other hand, the Vivo S16 offers 8GB/12GB of RAM and three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. Both the smartphones run Android 13 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of OriginOS 3.

Vivo S16 Pro sports a triple rear camera with 50MP main sensor with f/1.88 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. Whereas, the Vivo S16 also features a triple rear camera with 64MP main camera, 2MP macro camera and 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. The duo packs a 50MP main camera with dual LED soft flash.
Both the smartphones come equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor and are backed by a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
Vivo S16e specifications
Vivo S16e is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1080 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone offers two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.
The mid-range Vivo smartphone is home to a 6.62-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 13 operating system topped with OriginOS 3.
Vivo S16e feature a triple rear camera which comprises 50MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera. On the other hand, the front of the smartphone houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
Like the other two S16 series smartphones this one also packs a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
