Vivek Agnihotri takes jibe at Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan; says ‘Bollywood is sinking’

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has yet again made a controversial statement regarding Bollywood industry’s culture and what needs to be changed. On his Twitter, he indirectly blames Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for the downfall of the film industry.

The Kashmir Files director takes a dig at Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and wrote, “As long as these King, Badshah and Sultan remain in Bollywood, Hindi cinema will continue to sink. If you make it a people’s industry with the help of people’s stories, then only it will be able to lead the global film industry. This is a fact.”

Vivek wrote this while retweeting a BBC News (World) post that reads, “Why Shah Rukh Khan is still king of Bollywood?”

Vivek Agnihotri’s recently release ‘The Kashmir Files’ was a Box Office hit and it got recognised the world over. Based on the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, the film features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi in important roles. It film has been among the highest grossing Hindi films of the year so far.

Meanwhile, Vivek has kick-started his next movie titled ‘The Delhi Files’
