Viral Video Shows Girls Making Chapatis At Madhya Pradesh Hostel; Being Probed

Staying in a hostel is something that everyone should experience at least once in their life. And if you’ve ever had the opportunity to stay in one, consider yourself to be lucky. From meeting new people, handling expenses to sharing meals and learning how to manage time – hostel life is full of wonderful opportunities and can do wonders for your self growth. It is an experience that should only bring back happy memories. However, this is not quite the case at a hostel in Madhya Pradesh. Recently, a video of schoolgirls making ‘chapatis’ at a hostel in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral on the internet. The District Education Officer has assured that strict action will be taken in the matter.

According to ANI, the video belongs to the Kasturba Gandhi Hostel in Katni district. Girl students from class 6 to 8 stay and study in the hostel. The viral video shows girls in school uniforms rolling bread and kneading dough, while some other girls are involved in baking bread. The District Education Officer (DEO) Prithvi Pal Singh has assured action in the matter.

“Roti (Chapati) was being made by school girls at Kasturba Gandhi Girls Hostel located in Barwara development block. As soon as the video went viral, the officials took cognizance of the matter. The video came to my notice after talking to the DPC. As soon as the DCP is available, I will talk to him and action will be taken in the matter,” he said.

Assuring that action will take place, Singh further added, “Girls are not supposed to work like this in the hostel. We will also talk to the warden.”
