Recently, something similar happened to a street vendor in Bengaluru when an artist surprised him with a stunning portrait while he was busy making aloo bondas. The text on the clip mentioned, “I saw this hardworking thata making bondas,” showcasing the old man setting up his stall. Touched by the vendor’s dedication, the graphic designer decided to brighten his day with a heartwarming gesture. He approached the vendor and purchased some bondas to enjoy as a snack. Meanwhile, as he savoured the delicious street food, Manoj began creating a portrait of the vendor on his tablet.

As soon as the artwork was completed, he showed it to the old man, and his million-dollar smile said it all. The street vendor washed his hands and took a closer look at the illustration. The old man was elated and couldn’t stop smiling. Towards the end of the clip, Manoj shared the final art with the viewers as well. The colourful design featured a large bonda in the backdrop of the old man, who was visibly busy frying the snack. “His smile was the best part (wait till the end for his reaction),” read the caption of the post. The clip has garnered over 2.1 million views on the photo and video-sharing platform. Many people praised the graphic designer for his thoughtful efforts. “This is so wholesome, good job,” commented one person. Another person said, “He touched not only his heart but ours too.” A third person expressed, “His smile… I can’t stop my tears.”Some even suggested that Manoj should get the illustration framed for the local vendor.
