Vidya Balan, Neena Gupta, Rhea Chakraborty, Sanya Malhotra party with Guneet Monga-Sunny Kapoor ahead of their wedding

Guneet Monga is all set to tie the knot with beau Sunny Kapoor on Monday. Before the nuptials, the filmmaker threw a cocktail bash for her friends and colleagues in Mumbai on Sunday. All from her fellow filmmakers like Karan Johar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ekta Kapoor to actors like Vidya Balan, Sonali Bendre and Neha Dhupia attended the party. Bride to be Guneet was in a silver and golden outfit. Her fiance Sunny Kapoor joined her in an indigo sherwani.

Vidya Balan arrived with producer husband Siddharth Roy Kapur. She was in a black and red floral saree. Sonali Bendre too arrived with producer husband Goldie Behl. She looked stunning in a simple white kurta salwar. Sanya Malhotra who starred in Guneet’s Pagglait was seen in a golden lehenga while Rhea Chakraborty was in a black and green attire. Neena Gupta, who appeared in a short film titled Pinni in Guneet’s anthology film Zindagi inShort, also attended the part. She was in a bright pink outfit. Renuka Shahane and husband Ashutosh Rana, Abhishek Banerjee, Amrita Puri too attended the party.

Mouni Roy attended the party in a white saree while Sayani Gupta was spotted in a black one. Neha Dhupia too was spotted in a creme outfit. Tahira Kashyap attended the party in a shimmery attire. Both actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Divya Dutta were spotted in grey sarees whereas Patralekhaa and Amrita Puri arrived in a yellow sarees. Singer Sona Mohapatra and actor Maanvi Gagroo were also in black and grey outfits. Actors Rasika Dugal, Aahana Kumra too joined Guneet and Sunny at the pre-wedding cocktail bash.

Actor Chunky Panday attended the bash with wife Bhavana Pandey. Deepak Dobriyal, Satish Kaushik, Sanjay Kapoor and Karan Tacker were also seen at the party.

Guneet is the executive producer of Academy Award-winning short film Kavi. She is also known for her other production ventures like The Lunchbox, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2, Peddlers, Mickey Virus, Masaan, Zubaan and Pagglait. She is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and even her wedding card is inspired from the film. It has elements like a train, sarson ke khet and two hands holding each other. Recently, she had also shared a long note on how she too wanted a love story like that of Raj and Simran in the film.
