On March 22, Vidya Balan wished her followers ‘Happy Gudi Padwa’ by posting pictures from a recent photoshoot dressed in a beauteous red brocade silk saree. Vidya, known for championing homegrown saree brands, chose her drape from the shelves of Silk Mark India – an initiative of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Her elegant six yards have always delighted millions of her followers, and this sindoori look has also left them swooning. Vidya Balan’s sindoori red silk saree featured a broad patti border and intricate brocade embroidery in gold. Vidya wore the six yards in traditional style, draping the pallu elegantly on the shoulder and letting the pleats fall on the front. A matching red-coloured silk blouse featuring a wide plunging neckline, gold brocade embroidery, half-length sleeves, fitted bust, and a cropped hem completed the glam picks with the outfit.

In the end, Vidya chose a dainty red bindi, traditional ornate gold jhumkis, patterned bangles, and a statement ring for the accessories with the beauteous saree. A centre-parted sleek bun, darkened brows, subtle eye shadow, bold red lip shade, mascara on the lashes, dewy base, blushed cheekbones, and light contouring rounded off the glam picks.
