NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the final NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Wednesday.
Cumberlands (Ky.) garnered 492 points in the poll to be third. The Patriots are 46-6 this season and won the MSC Baseball regular season and tournament titles. Cumberlands has earned one of the conference’s automatic bids and has won its last 10 games.
Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) garnered five points in the poll to be mentioned in the receiving votes section. The Lions finished runner-up at the MSC tournament earning the conference’s second automatic bid in the NAIA Opening Round. Freed-Hardeman is 26-23 this season.
Tennessee Wesleyan sits atop the poll with 529 points and all 19 first-place votes. Southeastern (Fla.) comes in at No. 2 with 510 points.
Central Methodist (Mo.) and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) round out the top-five with 481 and 448 points, respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
The post season poll is scheduled to come out on June 9.
