Twitter now lets users post photos, videos, and GIFs in one tweet – Times of India

One can tweet photos, videos, and GIFs but not together; it is a feature that users on Twitter have been deprived of until now. Twitter has announced that users of Android and iOS apps will now be able to use images, videos, and GIFs in one tweet.
“Get ready to mix it up with visuals on Twitter, “ said a tweet. Twitter users had the ability to tweet multiple photos, videos, and GIFs, but they were not allowed to post them together in one single tweet. Now, users can tweet “mixed” media, which could comprise photos, videos, and GIFs.
“We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to help creators share more and be seen. Mixing different types of visual content together in a single Tweet allows creators to express themselves beyond 280 characters and gives them more ways to tell their story,” reads the blog post.
So how do you compose a “mixed” media tweet? It is no different than how you tweet now. You just have to write a tweet and select the media you want to tweet; it could be a photo, video, or GIF. Further, you can also add an ALT tag or descriptive text for each media. However, you can only have up to 4 videos and GIFs in one tweet.
While the ability to create “mixed” media tweets is limited to Android and iOS apps, users can view these tweets on any platform, whether they are on a desktop surfing on the browser, through the app, or on their phone’s browser.
