Whether you like her sartorial take on trending topics or admire her wit, Twinkle Khanna is one of the most relatable celebrities on Instagram. The actor-turned-writer often gives us sneak peeks into her daily life. And, one thing we know for sure is that Twinkle Khanna is a big-time foodie. Recently, she conducted a poll on Twitter asking fans and followers to vote between two of the popular food items used for garnishing – caviar and dried bombil.  Stating that dried bombil is “not quite caviar”, Twinkle Khanna puts her wit as well as language proficiency into describing the “innocuous ingredient that doesn’t arouse love or hate.”

Twinkle Khanna wrote, “Being universally likeable is a bit like the sprinkling of dhaniya on top of boiled moong. A bit decorative. A smidgen of flavour. An innocuous ingredient that doesn’t arouse love or hate. Some, can’t be a sprig of dhaniya though. We are an acquired taste, not quite caviar, but let’s say dried bombil,” under the popularity contest. And, further asked people to pick a team.

Caviar is a delicacy eaten as a garnish or spread. It is a food consisting of salt-cured roe. On the other hand, dried bombil is a small dried fish popular in India and Bangladesh.

“Caviar or dried bombil? Which team are you in?” read her tweet. Take a look:

Reacting to the tweet, a user said, “Dried Bombil any day! Roasted on an open fire.”

Another wrote, “Bombil for sure – not everyone can handle the strong smell i, e, the strong self.”

“I have yet to understand the sprinkling of Dhania on every damn dish. I would take it as decorative only! It certainly doesn’t arouse either love or hate for sure,” an individual wrote.

“Dried Bombil it is,” reacted a user.

Clearly, the dried bombil emerged as a winner. What do you think? Tell us in the comments.
