TravelPerk has hired new chief financial and chief people officers, each of whom the travel management platform said will help with global expansion, particularly in the United States.

Tech industry veteran Roy Hefer has joined TravelPerk as its chief financial officer, based in Barcelona. Hefer most recently worked as VP of finance at Palo Alto, Calif.-based Hippo Insurance, and he also has led finance and operations at Avail Medsystems and medical equipment company Lumenis.

In September, Sally Sourbron also will join TravelPerk’s senior leadership team as chief people officer, leading HR, recruiting and other global people functions at the company.

TravelPerk co-founder and CEO Avi Meir said the two new hires’ experience at U.S. companies “will help us shape new business opportunities that will allow further growth [in the region].” The Barcelona-based company significantly expanded its U.S. presence last year with the acquisition of NexTravel.
