Top YouTuber wants to be Twitter CEO, here’s what Elon Musk has to say – Times of India

Elon Musk is searching for “someone foolish enough” to take the job of Twitter CEO. Since his announcement, a lot of people including rapper Snoop Dogg, have shown interest in running the company. The latest entrant to the list is YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast.
“Can I be the new Twitter CEO?” tweeted MrBeast, whose bio reads “I want to make the world a better place before I die.” Replying to his tweet, Musk said, “It’s not out of the question.”
At the time of writing this story, MrBeast’s tweet has 49.5 million views (thanks to the recently-launched view count feature on tweets), 16.7 million followers on Twitter and 122 million subscribers on YouTube.

Elon Musk to step down as Twitter CEO when…
Musk has been taking a lot of flak for the changes he brought to Twitter. Recently, he posted a Twitter poll asking Twitterati whether he should step down as the company’s CEO suggesting that he is looking for a new CEO of Twitter. Two days after he put up a poll, he said that “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!”.
Musk also clarified that he will still be involved in the company’s day-to-day operations in a different capacity. “I will just run the software & servers teams,” he noted. He also wants a person who can keep “Twitter alive.”
“The question is not finding a CEO, the question is finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive,” he said in another tweet.

Speculations are rife that Musk’s continuous involvement in making Twitter “better” has an impact on his other company Tesla. He has been alleged to have “abandoned Tesla” and the electric car company’s stock isn’t doing well.
NASA has concerns about SpaceX
Last week, a report by NBC News said that NASA Administrator Bill Nelson met SpaceX president and COO Gwynne Shotwell. Nelson asked Shotwell, “Tell me that the distraction that Elon might have on Twitter is not going to affect SpaceX.”
Shotwell replied, “I assure you, it is not. You have nothing to worry about.”
