Three MSC Teams Mentioned in NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Three Mid-South Conference teams are mentioned in the latest NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced.
Cumberlands (Ky.) is the highest-ranked team in the poll at No. 9. The Patriots earned 422 points in the poll. Cumberlands is 30-5 and 14-4 in the MSC and have won five-straight games. The Patriots travel to Shawnee State (Ohio) this weekend.
Cumberland (Tenn.) moved up three spots to No. 22. The Phoenix garnered 169 points in the poll. Cumberland is 22-8-1 overall and are currently 12-2 in conference play and have won seven of its last 10 games. The Phoenix host Campbellsville for a three-game series.
Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) is mentioned in the receiving votes section of the poll. The Lions earned 15 points.
Southeastern (Fla.) sits atop the poll with 560 points and all 20 first-place votes. LSU Shreveport is ranked second with 531 points while Georgia Gwinnett and Tennessee Wesleyan are tied for third with 520 points. Bellevue (Neb.) rounds out the top five with 471 points.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
The next regular season poll is scheduled to come out on Wednesday, April 19
