If you’re trying and failing to chat with friends and family on the Three Network this morning you may not be alone. Reports are flooding in that some users have been left unable to use this popular service with customers complaining that they can’t make or receive voice calls. The gremlins appear to have begun at around 7am with reports coming in from across the UK.
Outage monitoring website Down Detector is currently showing over 1,000 reports that Three is down with many users taking to its forum page to complain about the issues.
One user named Kayleigh said: “Cannot make or receive calls, nor can my two children or husband all on 3.”
Whilst another called Kat, added: “Call ends as soon as I dial, I can’t receive calls either. Texts weren’t working either until I restarted my phone.”
Some users have been hugely frustrated by the ongoing issues with Three customer Peter, saying: “I can make but not receive calls and expecting an important one soon. Three is a complete joke.”
There is currently no word on what is causing the outage or how long it will last but it seems that 4G and 5G data services aren’t affected. That means it might be wise to use platforms such as FaceTime or WhatsApp if you need to chat with someone urgently.
These internet-based services use Three’s data network to make calls rather than the usual mobile signal so they should help keep you connected until things are fully restored.
Three hasn’t yet confirmed this morning’s outage with its status page showing things are all running as expected.
