This new ChatGPT feature lets users share conversations and collaborate – Times of India

0

OpenAI has added a new feature to ChatGPT that allows users to easily share their conversations and chats with others via social media platforms, email and other mediums. The feature is ‘Shared links’ and it generates a unique URL for users to share with others and also lets them continue the conversation if they want.
What is Shared links in ChatGPT?
Shared links is the latest addition to ChatGPT that lets users create a unique URL for a ChatGPT conversation. The link then can be shared with friends, colleagues, and collaborators. The feature is aimed at making the ChatGPT experience more interactive and it also replaces the older way of taking screenshots and sharing the conversation. The feature also lets users share a conversation with their name or anonymously.
Shared links availability
The Shared links feature is available to all users including the free accounts users with ChatGPT 3.5. The feature is currently available on the web and it’s coming soon to the iOS app.
Provides option to update or delete the links
OpenAI has ensured that users are in full control of the links they’ve created with the feature. While the link once generated is public, anyone who has access to the link can open the conversation and make changes or resume the conversation. But, the feature lets users delete the link created by them and also update them in addition to hiding their names.
How to create Shared link on ChatGPT

  • Head to chat.openai.com and login
  • Start the conversation and create a conversation
  • Now, click on the new share button
  • It will then open a new Share popup where users can hide their names from the conversation
  • Once done, copy the link and share it with friends and family
