With the iOS 16.4 update that has started rolling out to all users today, Apple has made the Voice Isolation feature available for regular cellular calls as well.
For those unaware, the Voice Isolation and Wide Spectrum features were microphone modes that tuned the iPhone’s built-in microphones to capture better audio. In case of Voice Isolation, it returns the microphones to focus on the voice and suppress the background noise. While, the wide spectrum mode made the microphones capture all the audio and boost it further.

As explained above, the Voice Isolation feature “prioritises your voice in calls and blocks out the ambient noise.” Which means once the microphone mode is set to Voice Isolation mode, it automatically improves the noise cancellation feature but the persian on the other side of the call.
