This Google Play app is exclusively available on Pixel devices – Times of India
Google calls it a “portal to connecting your phone with Glass Enterprise devices.” The app is used for configuring Glass Enterprise Edition 2 devices that feature– sharing Wi-Fi networks, setting time zones and Glass system language and adjusting brightness and volume.
The screen displays the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi options that resemble the Material 3 design language. There’s also a “Mirror View” status that appears on the screen and shows what’s being displayed on the Glass prism from the user’s device.
Google says, “applications that are integrated with the Glass Enterprise can be managed via the companion app.”
Here are three apps that are available in early access:
Language: Enables transcription and translation between multiple languages.
Google Tasks: Google Tasks shows users’ task list and engages in reading, completing and updating tasks.
Enterprise Camera: It has the ability to take photos and videos and save it automatically to the paired smartphone.
The Glass Enterprise app earlier worked with stand-alone devices using its built-in chipset. The search-engine giant is currently using “wireless tethering” and the Pixel’s Tensor chipset which is ML-optimised to allow “more accurate and efficient transcription and translation,” as well as “other overall computing benefits.”
Google recently announced the rollout of new updates for Workspace. The update includes– resizable pivot tables in Sheets, improved search results in Gmail and sharing Docs, Sheets and Slides in Google Meet chat.
While using Sheets, users can now resize the pivot table editor side panel. The feature comes into play when the columns or field’s names are too long and the user wants to read the entire text, Google said in a blog post.
