When it is the time to mark any Indian festivities, mithai is a significant part of them. We have boxes lined up with kaju katli, gulab jamun, rasgullas, and so much more. No matter the occasion, we do our best to bring the top quality of mithais to our friends and families. However, while quality is one thing, would you ever pay INR 25,000 per kg for a sweet!? That sounds like a lot of money, right? Well, believe it or not, recently, a sweet shop in UP created a ”golden ghevar” for Raksha Bandhan. This gold-plated ghevar costs INR 25,000 per kilo!

This sweet is made by Braj Rasayan Mitthan Bhandar in Agra, close to Shah Market. People have been swarming the shop to see and purchase the treat ever since it arrived. Despite the high cost, sources state that 12 kg of Golden Ghevar had already been sold.
